The Vocavo MCM Mahjong Table is a four-player game table built from solid American black walnut with tapered legs, an inlaid wool felt surface, and four soft-close tile-storage drawers. Everything about it — the proportions, the grain, the brushed brass pulls — was thought through. It earns a place in your room long after the game is over.
A game table that respects your room
Most game tables look like game tables. Folding legs, felt that peels, a drawer that sticks. You pull them out when you need them and put them away because you have to.
This one is different. The Vocavo MCM Mahjong Table was designed to live in your space — to earn its square footage the same way a good sofa does. The walnut grain catches morning light. The legs splay just enough to make the whole piece feel planted and confident. The brass pulls are solid, not hollow. When it's not set up for a game, the top flips to reveal a solid wood surface that works as a console, a library table, or a quiet surface for whatever your room needs.
Built in our Dallas shop with a full woodworking setup and thirty years of combined experience, each table is made to order and inspected by hand before it leaves. We cut our own legs on the table saw with a custom tapering jig. We route the tile racks by hand. We apply the Rubio Monocoat finish in multiple sessions and let it cure before we pack.
The result is a piece that plays mahjong beautifully and looks right doing it.
Four Tile-Storage Drawers
One deep drawer on each side of the table keeps tiles sorted by player, wind markers close, and dice where you left them. Soft-close undermount slides mean they open and close quietly. Fronts are solid walnut — seamless with the apron.
Recessed Cup Holders
Four 3.5" recesses, one at each corner of the rail, lined in genuine leather. They hold a tumbler, a wine glass, or a mug without tipping. And they look right — not like afterthoughts.
Tapered Splayed Legs
Cut on a custom jig from solid 8/4 walnut stock, each leg tapers from 1¾" at the top to 1" at the foot. They splay outward — a classic MCM move that makes the table look lighter than it is and more grounded than it looks.
In-Rail Tile Racks
Three inches of routed channel runs along all four inner sides of the top — your active tiles stay upright and organized without a separate rack cluttering the felt. It's the detail that makes every other mahjong table feel incomplete once you've played on this one.
Reversible Playing Surface
The top panel lifts out and flips. Playing side: wool felt in forest green, deep enough to muffle tile sound. Reverse side: solid black walnut — use it as a console table, a library surface, or whatever your room calls for. One piece, two lives.
A Beautiful and Durable Finish
A single penetrating coat of Rubio Monocoat natural hard wax oil bonds to and hardens wood fiber rather than sitting on top of it. No plastic film. No yellowing over time. The result is a matte surface that shows the real color and grain of the walnut — the way furniture is supposed to look.

Every Vocavo table is made to order. We don't keep inventory — each piece is built to the spec you select, in the sequence of orders we've received.

White-glove delivery available in the Dallas–Fort Worth metro ($150). Nationwide freight ship available for the continental US ($450–650 depending on destination). Local pickup at our shop is always free.

Can I customize the felt color?
Yes. Standard felt is forest green. We can source wool felt in most standard billiard/game table colors — burgundy, navy, charcoal, camel, and others. Custom felt adds $150 to the order and an additional week to lead time.
What's the difference between the two editions?
Both tables are identical in design, construction, and feature set. The difference is the wood species and the hardware. Walnut is darker, richer, and pairs with brushed brass. White oak is lighter, with a tighter linear grain, and pairs with matte black hardware. Walnut starts at $3,800; White Oak at $3,200.
Does the price include delivery?
Delivery is separate. White-glove delivery in DFW is $150. Nationwide freight (blanket-wrapped, threshold delivery) is $450–650 depending on your location. Local shop pickup is always free.
